Domestic Short Hair / Tabby / Mixed (short coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Baby Orphan Kittens handraised from 3 weeks old
The kittens in this litter were born on August 22, 2011. They are all very active, playful and affectionate. They were born to a cat rescued as a kitten who lived with a family in Fillmore. The family didn't realize she was pregnant until it was too late and momcat delivered 7 kittens. She took great care of her babies until they were 3 weeks old, then disappeared one day and did not return (Fillmore has lots of coyotes and hawks in the area). The family got goatsmilk and an eyedropper and tried to keep the kittens fed, but soon realized it was more than they could handle so they contacted Cats Cradle Rescue for help. The kittens were placed with a Cats Cradle volunteer experienced in caring for tiny unweaned orphan kittens. There are 5 girls and 2 boys in the litter, but all the kittens except the sweet and very loving black male kitten have already been adopted. Please note: The last picture shows all the kittens when they were much younger. The last kitten will be shown for adoption on November 19 & 20 at the Camarillo PETCO (Las Posas exit in the Target shopping center) from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on most Saturdays and Noon to 5 p.m. on some Sundays. Please stop by and meet this sweet guy and and check out several other litters of kittens we will be showing for adoption! Kitten season is almost over so these may be some of the last smaller kittens available for adoption in 2011.
