Laidback Longhaired Ragdoll/Maine Coon Mix
Jackson is a people-friendly mature and front declawed cat. When he went in for a well-cat vet checkup on Feb 2, we found out that while he wasn't younger than 8 years, he wasn't older than 10. He is in very good health for a slightly skinny middle-aged indoor declawed cat who was dumped outside in cold weather to find his own food & shelter when his family moved away.
Jackson would probably be happiest in a quiet home with no other animals, but with one or two people. He was quiet when he first arrived, but has turned into a real "talker" in the last few weeks. He lets you know when he wants to find you or have his dinner served!
He is very affectionate and wants to be near his people wherever they are. He LOVES to sit in your lap to purr away or take a nap while you watch TV in the evening. He seems uncomfortable around very small children and babies, but is fine with tweens and teens. We think he was an Only Cat in his home since he doesn't show good "cat manners" around the other cats in his foster home, though a 7 month old kitten gets along well with him.
Though he was declawed by his owner, he is not at all sensitive about having his front paws touched and is very calm and gentle with people. He adores having his chin scratched and his back fur brushed. Last week he discovered our cat toy collection and now just LOVES to play with his furry mouse and catnip pom pom balls.
Jackson had his teeth cleaned by our vet, has had his vaccinations updated, is microchipped and is also eligible for our senior cat discount on his adoption fee. His foster family will provide a gift bag of food and toys and also his own custom litterbox for his adopting family.

Each animal lives in a foster home as part of the family. Cats Cradle Rescue requires an adoption application and contract with each animal. Our adoption fee covers Feline Leukemia and Feline Immuno Virus testing, first year's shots, spay/neuter and microchip. We also send you home with a collar, CCR tag and starter food.
