A stray cat took up residence on my patio for about eight months playing with my cats through the window and trying to sneak inside at any opportunity.  One day, she succeeded, and moved in.  I call her Zuma.  While she is adjusting and getting along very well with my two cats, I am about to be deployed, and this beautiful dilute Tortie needs a home soon where she can thrive!

Zuma is timid, with a lot of personality!  Since directing me to allow her inside, Zuma has made good progress interacting with me, and she especially loves to play chase and snuggle with my two other cats.  While she is still nervous around people, I have worked to gain her trust during meal times and she will run to the kitchen with the other cats and wait her turn.

Zuma likes head scratches and pets before breakfast and dinner.  She enjoys it so much that she will purr, knead the floor, and sometimes be so happy that she drools!  She will also sneak onto the bed at night to sleep when she thinks you won't notice, or come into the living room and stretch out on the carpet to nap.

Zuma chose to come inside, and she has made big improvements.  She has made great strides and will continue to do so with someone who is patient.  The times when she has returned the love have been absolutely worth the wait! Zuma would also thrive in a home with another affectionate cat.

Zuma is about 2 years old.  She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and up to date on Rabies, FeLV, and FVRCP vaccinations.

This is a courtesy listing.  If you would like to meet Zuma or would like more information, please email jascott.inbox@gmail.com.  Zuma is located in the Malibu area.  Her foster parent is also happy to also discuss a temporary foster until back from deployment in Oct/Nov.

Good with Cats

Cats Cradle Rescue animals are spayed or neutered and have received at least one vaccination before they are placed up for adoption; however, kittens receive two vaccinations.  Each animal lives in a foster home as part of the family.

Cats Cradle Rescue requires an adoption application and contract with each animal.  Our adoption fee covers Feline Leukemia and Feline Immuno Virus testing, first year's shots, spay/neuter and microchip.  We also send you home with a collar, CCR tag and starter food.
