This super sweet little dog was dumped in our volunteer's backyard in the middle of the night.  A very sad sign hung from her collar saying "Free!" and "keep the leash."  The little dog was terrified, trapped all alone in an unknown yard all night.  When we found her in the morning, she was hiding, cowering under the bushes, trembling.

But then -- what a fast transformation!  All it took was a comforting voice, some gentle chin rubs, a soft doggie bed, and Buttercup was showing her real personality -- the little girl is a huge SWEETHEART!!!

We named her Buttercup, for her gentle nature and sweetness.   Buttercup loves belly rubs.  Show her your face and she will give you a joyful little kiss.  She is very well-behaved at home, and enjoys quietly lounging in a doggie bed.  She is wonderfully peaceful, yet when you approach her, that tail starts wagging gleefully!  Buttercup is young and has a cute playful side too.  She heaps love on anyone who is kind to her.

Buttercup walks so nicely on her leash, obviously happy to be with someone who cares about her.  This adorable little girl will be a fantastic companion!  She is delightfully cute and easy-going.  All she wants is someone to love.

Buttercup gets along well with the little dogs she has met.  She does become a little shy with sudden noises or fast movements, so we think she will be happiest in a home without small children.  In an adult home, this wonderful girl will be a treasure!

Buttercup is only 2 years old, and weighs just 22 pounds.  She looks like a Cairn Terrier, mixed with either Glen of Imaal or Wheaton Terrier.  Our Veterinarian examined her and says she is healthy.  We got her vaccinated, de-fleaed and de-wormed, and she will be spayed on Thursday.

Buttercup is now in the Thousand Oaks, Woodland Hills, Camarillo area.  If you would like more information or to meet little Buttercup, please email us at catnose1@aol.com.
